

St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church of Hackberry, LA was one of thousands of facilities which fell victim to the high winds and flood waters of Hurricane Rita. Twenty Four (24) hours after Rita had blown through Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas, TC3 representatives were called in to assess and begin repairs to several Catholic Churches belonging to the Lake Charles, LA and Beaumont, TX Catholic Dioceses.


Scenes such as this show the wind damaged St. Peter the Apostle Church of Hackberry that were prevalent across the Louisiana – Texas area.

Not only was the wind a factor but also the massive flooding which took place along the coastal regions from the tidal surge. Some facilities took as much as a twenty (20) foot surge of sea water.


In total; TC3 completed reconstruction on seventy six (76) facilities between the Lake Charles and Beaumont Dioceses, within a sixteen (16) month period. Total reconstruction costs of those seventy six (76) facilities totaled more then $15 million dollars.
